Archer Loops
Once archers couldn't shoot as well because motes were put in the archer loops were made smaller so gunners could shoot instead of archers. Gunners were people who used hand held guns to shoot their enemies. Some archers were still used if the castles didn't have motets but when gunners came around archers weren't used as often.
